• Nail trends for Autumn 2019

The autumn season is knocking on our doors. And even if you still have that very last seaside vacation on your list, the time has come to think about some of the trends that everyone will be sporting during the next months. We have good news for you: they will definitely brighten up your daily look!

Let’s see the nail trends for Autumn 2019.

    Gradient nails
Gradient of glitter in all the metal shades you could possibly think of, that’s what we’re talking about!

    Exotic prints
Leopard prints, tiger nails, tortoise shell; on one accent nail, on half of each nails. You really have plenty of possibilities…

    Two-toned
Try those combinations: dark blue + narrow azure tips; hot pink + narrow pale pink tips.
Where did we see it? House of Holland, Iceberg.

    Negative space
In case you are wondering what “negative space” stands for: that is the design which Prabal Gurung’s runway turned into a trend: lack of nail polish on some part of your nails.

    (Almost) nudes
Keep your nails (almost) nude and glossy. The palette includes vanilla custard, elegant grey, crême de pèche (peach cream) – everything will do.

    Pearls
You have two options: to put those on your nails or above your nails. We saw the first example chez Adeam, and the second one – chez Rodarte. Is that chic mani the new classy? We believe so.

Which is the first trend you are willing to try this autumn? Our personal favourite are the pearls, we’re just not sure if we can pull it off!

  • Colour radar: vanilla custard

Now that we’re getting closer to the transitional season between summer and autumn, we noticed one colour in particular which most of our favourite designers embraced in their Autumn-Winter 2019 collections.

    blog-2019-08moncler-png-2

Vanilla custard is an off-white hue or a light shade of beige. It can be worn from head to toe in a monochrome outfit or combined with some of the bright shades that will be dominating during the cold months to come (according to the experts, those are orange tiger; chili pepper; galaxy blue).

    vanilla-custard

Where did we see the vanilla custard look? In the collections shown by Valentino (trench coats, long skirts), Dolce & Gabbana (coats), Tibi (head to toe ensembles), Sportmax (layers such as hooded coats, sweaters & midi trousers).

Here are some ideas how to implement this smooth and creamy white in your wardrobe for the transitional season:

  • Shoes for Summer 2019

We are pretty sure you still have (at least) one more vacation on the list. Even if you planned to spend it near the seaside, you will probably need a nice pair of shoes for the long beach walks, for cocktail hours or for fancy dinner dates, right?

No worries, we have selected some of the best shoes for summer 2019 for you!

    For coastal walks

Perhaps the most comfortable choice for those will be a pair of sneakers. Just keep your flip-flops close – in the handbag, for example. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to spend some time on a newly discovered beach, do you?

    For casual cocktail hours

And when we say casual, we mean a mimosa for brunch or margaritas at 3 pm. So don’t opt for too much extravaganza, pick a pair of comfy espadrilles and dare to have that second drink!

    For fancy dinner dates

Now that would be the time to sparkle! Carrie Bradshaw made Manolo Blahnik shoes a must for fancy romantic dinner dates. Pick a pair of royal blue flatswith a sparkling detail or the iconic Mary Janes with a strap. Their Majesties will do the rest for you.

  • Daily inspiration: 6 Spring/Summer 2019 campaigns

Each spring season is usually associated with colours: green, pink, orange, red, brown, white, purple. If you add to those the sand yellow and sky blue we are expecting from summer, the result will be a beautiful palette of shades that you simply have to explore.

Some of our favourite brands and designers already did – all you have to do is enjoy the list with Spring/Summer 2019 campaigns.

    Stella McCartney Eyewear

When it comes to eyewear, at Stella McCartney they say No to strange plastics made from fossil fuels. Instead, their frames are made from natural renewable resources. You maaaay want to hug a tree after watching the campaign, we are just warning you.

    Kenzo

Kenzotopia is bright, wild, a bit fluffy, a bit fierce, a bit shy, a bit social and very bold. Kenzo’s woman will be bright, wild, a bit fluffy, a bit fierce, a bit shy, a bit social and very bold during the spring-summer season.

    Balenciaga

What Balenciaga did was pay a stylish homage to The Matrix. We don’t know what the Wachowski brothers might say about it, but the Wachowski sisters will probably like it.

    Mango

Mango is trying to build the future by creating “New Voices”. The brand took a few models, including Adwoa Aboah and Jolie Alien, and turned them into artists, activists and entrepreneurs.

    Giorgio Armani

“Flowing fabrics and shimmery hues inspired by the beauty of water.” Yes, that is what we saw in the video. And we definitely liked it!

    Salvatore Ferragamo

The Italian brand enriches its Patchwork of Characters concept by uniting a diverse group of individuals to revel in the beauty of sun-saturated, midsummer Italy.

Which is your favourite campaign for Spring/Summer 2019?

  • Spring trend: head-to-toe neutrals

Neutrals may not be the boldest or the brightest trend (like, literally) of Spring 2019, but they are super sweet and are one of the easiest ways to achieve an effortless look these days.

Some of our favourite fashion designers – Max Mara, Burberry, Tom Ford – showed us different variations of the head-to-toe neutral outfit, let us share a few stylish picks with you:

It all starts with a trench coat!

It all starts with a trench coat, and each trench coat starts with a neutral shade – perhaps you know that if you are familiar with Burberry’s story.

Our suggestion is a blouse / shirt that works well both for a formal gathering and for a cocktail or two in the spring garden of that bar you frequently visit with your girlfriends.

  • Spring 2019 bag trends

The fashion weeks we saw so far were full of glamour, unexpected shapes, but more or less expected trends in the world of bags. The designers showed some fresh combinations and styles for the spring among which were the big trends for 2019 – here are our favourites:

    Silver Bags

Tinfoil fabrics were all over the spring collections for 2019 and bags were no exception. Pick your favourite design – a belt bag, a shoulder bag or a clutch, and make your style shining and futuristic.

    studioinstajuly

    Straw and crochet bags

The spring season is coming with even more straw and crochet bags and the carefree attitude they evoke. A large tote, a little crossbody round bag or a big circle bag, a backpack or even a basket – the size and shape is up to you.

    insta-2019-01_elma-preseason02

    Bershka bag from remixshop.com

    Clasp Bags

The clasp bag is here again, classier than ever. Elie Saab enchanted us with a metallic style with a large clasp, while Coach’s idea for the perfect style was a small brown shoulder bag with three clasp pockets on the front.

    Micro bags

Micro bags with chain strap are more delicate than ever. They were spotted on the runways of Brandon Maxwell, Acne Studios and Jil Sander. It’s true, you won’t be able to put more than a pack of gum and a couple of coins, but they are super cute and they can be an original attachment to a larger bag.

    The belt bag return

We were far from shocked to see the belt bag in the Spring 2019 collections. Alexander Wang, Burberry, Chanel and Chloé are just a part of the designers who showed the belt style and they proved once again that it could be very elegant and stylish, as well as casual and sporty and it is most certainly here to stay for the next couple of seasons.

  • Jewellery trends for 2019

Even the most impeccable dress needs a little extra something in order to shine: an elegant bag, a pair of extravagant shoes, a patent leather belt or some small objects of sparkling affection. Let’s open the Pandora jewellery box of 2019 together!

    Big and bold

Chain necklaces were big among popular rappers and fitness instructors of the early 90s, but now they are going to be a hit in every fashionista’s outfit of the day.

    One of a kind

Every pair is at least a little bit different, so why not go for “non-identical” when it comes to earrings too? Mix and match a hoop earring + a pear-shaped stud or leave one of the pieces in your set and opt for one tassel earring instead of two.

    one-of-a-kind-collage

    Seashells on the seashore

Don’t hold back on wearing a seashell shaped pair of earrings even when you’re going to work in April instead of drinking cocktails on your summer vacation. Shells are going to be everywhere, anytime, monochrome or colourful.

    seashells-collage

    Open front

Chokers are still on the menu, but for the connoisseurs, they are a bit upgraded. Or shall we say degraded in terms of material? Open-cuff necklaces were spotted on the runway of brands like Dior and Fendi, which means they will definitely be spotted in your favourite store too. Same goes for open bangles.

  • Men’s Autumn/Winter 2018 Fashion

    Logos and patterns

One of the most important things to learn about the latest trends in menswear for autumn/winter 2018 is that logos and patterns in your outfit are more than welcome. Pick your favourite brands and wear this bold and funky style with joy.

    Orange is the season’s colour

If you haven’t noticed it already, orange is the brightest tone this year and it’s also the highlight in men’s fashion now. Orange jacket, scarf, bag, sweater or trousers – everything in this colour will fit well inside your wardrobe.

    shutterstock_1024243081

    Checks

Both for women and men, checks are a top fashion trend. As we saw in Alexander McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 2018 collection – the checked style went from Scottish tartan to neo-aristocracy with all its glory.

    Cartoons

Cartoons are the fun side of menswear this autumn – all kinds of drawings and colours are allowed. Feel free to express your inner child with a cartoon sweater, jumper or jacket.

    The classics – leather coats

We know that trend so well, don’t we? The luxury glamour of the leather coat is back again reaching new heights in the collections of Berluti, Hermès and Prada.

    shutterstock_1030943614

    Mini-bags

Same as in womenswear, this year puts the lovely mini-bags in men’s outfits. The mini-man-bag is best worn around the neck and it’s the best travel partner, but also for everyday life.

  • 5 key pieces you must own this season

Having in mind the Big Players in terms of trends (those are 1. The 4 most popular fashion week events; 2. Pantone’s colour report and 3. Influencers’ style), we gathered our very own top 5 of key essentials that you simply must add to your autumn-winter wardrobe.

    Plaid is the new black

We are all familiar with the check print. This season, plaids are bigger and more unusual than ever. You can wear them diagonally on a dress, asymmetrically on a scarf or in a classic manner – on a coat.

    Faux shearling biker jacket

Biker jackets are a huge trend every year, so are the leather styles, but we suggest this year you keep it animal friendly and go for a faux shearling biker jacket.

    Bag lovers know best

There is no such thing as too many bags, right? Add a touch of sparkle to your autumn wardrobe and pick a shoulder bag large enough to fit your wallet, lipstick and mobile and you’re good to go.

One big scarf a day keeps the doctor away

Okay, that’s not the original rule, but we had to make it up as AW 2018 is going to be full of big, bright and bold scarves. Our advice to you: pick one from a soft fabric with fringes – you can wear it while roaming the streets and use it as a shoulder wrap if it happens to be too cold in the office.

These boots are made for walking

Knee-high boots are still trendy and in case your shoe collection is missing one such fashion pick from last winter, now is the right moment to get it. Opt for a pair of block heeled boots in a timeless shade (black, nude/tan) or a more extravagant option (red, blue).

  • The new old hairstyles for autumn 2018

In case you haven’t heard, the ‘90s are back. And by that we don’t mean you need to fall in love with 80% of the members of a boy band. We are talking about style choices.

And speaking of style, we have to focus on all the details: manicure, jewellery, handbags and the most important part – good hair days. Let’s see the top hairstyles for autumn 2018:

    Comb headbands

You had one of those when you were… well, we’ll just put it that way: in the ‘90s. Our advice to you is to start searching for it right now, as it will be a huge trend for next season. Plus, it’s the perfect option to keep that flyaway hair out of your face.

    Side part + bobby pins

If you are tired of the bangs you cut a couple of months ago and you’re now trying to grow it out, then you must be quite familiar with this old-school trick: side part + bobby pins (bobby pins are back in the game, you got that one right). You don’t need to keep that hairstyle for late evenings when you usually do the dishes – it’s absolutely allowed to sport it to work or even to a bar.

    shutterstock_1096023068

    Relaxed updos

Strict hairstyles are old news, now we’re embracing the casual trends called un-done up-dos. How to get it? Tie your hair without putting too much effort trying to achieve perfection – a couple of falling strands never killed nobody, just the opposite – they made that nobody a stylish somebody 😉
